Who We Are
The South Woodham Ferrers Table Tennis Club is located at Champions Manor Hall – Hullbridge Rd, South Woodham Ferrers, Chelmsford CM3 5LJ, United Kingdom. We welcome both local residents and visitors. Our club is conveniently accessible from the SWF railway station and can be reached by road and public transport, with plenty of free parking available. As a small but growing club, we welcome juniors, adults, and seniors of all skill levels. Our mission is to provide a space where children and adults can connect with friends, both new and old, outside of school and work. We aim to promote table tennis as a fun and engaging leisure activity while also encouraging health and fitness through the sport.
Join us for play on most Thursday evenings from 7:30 PM to 10 PM. We offer table tennis lessons for all ages, where beginners and juniors can learn the basics, and those at an intermediate level can develop their core techniques. Our focus is on having fun and improving your table tennis skills in a friendly, social environment.
We currently run 5 teams in the Burnham & District Table Tennis League, which has 3 divisions, and we currently have 3 teams in division one, and one each in divisions two and three. The new season will start week commencing 16/09/2024.
Throughout the summer and until the first home game of the new season on 19th September we run practice evenings every Thursday from 7.30pm to 10pm all are welcome, the cost for this is £4 for members or £5 for guests everyone is welcome and the first visit by a newcomer is always free. Then throughout the season we have practice evenings on a Friday again 7.30pm to 10pm when beginners and junior players are most welcome for all or part of the session. We would really like to start a Junior coaching session from 7pm to 8pm on Friday evenings but do need a minimum of 4 children interested to start this. Please contact us if juniors are intending to come and we will arrange for a UK Sport qualified coach to be available.
